Gameplay
Hidden Object Games not only test our memory, but they’re fun too! And the fun doesn’t stop with Seekers: Hidden Mystery. Seekers is easily a cross between Criminal Case and a match 3 game.
You play as someone who’s come to the city since the curse. Darkwood is surrounded by Ghostly Mist that isolates the city from the rest of the world. How did you get there? The curse made things disappear without a trace so it’s up to you to retrieve some items. First up, you need to find the Mayor’s key.
With a generic-looking background of a cafe, you need to find a carpet bag, sun, a layer cake, and watermelon which are obviously placed strategically to make the game appear to be easy. But don’t be fooled, as you get through the levels, the game gets progressively harder. Which is why you’re given 3 power-ups! One power-up points exactly to where the item is, another changes the items on the list, and the last one gives you an extra minute. Depending on what you have left to do, these can all easily come in handy to get through the levels.
Graphics
The graphics are very old fashioned, dating back to the 1800s/early 1900s, I can only assume. The characters all have their own specific look to them with gorgeous hair and upper-class garments. As for the actual levels, they don’t stand out much to me compared to other hidden object games. In all honesty, all it really is is a picture.
Functionality wise, Seekers doesn’t lag or crash at all so that’s an instant win for me.
Music & Sounds
As when we write this it’s the holiday season, it only makes sense that the music is very Christmas themed. This is great and means that the developers regularly update the game to make sure it’s up to date with trends! The music, like the graphics, is very dated to match in with the overall theme.
Controls
Like every hidden object game, you need to tap the items once you find them. Same for the match-3 side of the game, tap/drag to match items together.

The Verdict
Seekers: Hidden Mystery is a good hidden object game – I felt challenged and determined to complete the levels. The only problem was, the game doesn’t have a solid enough storyline to keep me interested. One of the things I loved about Murder in the Alps was its addicting storyline, but Seekers just didn’t have the same effect.
When it comes to hidden object games, you have to go through a lot to find the best one. For me, this definitely isn’t the best, but it could be for someone else.
