Gameplay
Imagine this. You’re the Quarterback for one of the biggest football teams in America and whether your team gets a touchdown is in your hands. The aim of the game is to correctly pass the ball over to your teammates at the correct time – taking into account other teammates, and the wind. The wind can easily hinder your progress and an opposing player can crash into you at any time to get the football. So be quick on your feet and make sure you get that touchdown! Quarterbacks typically have 2.8 seconds to throw the ball but don’t worry, you have longer on Flick Quarterback 19, but not long enough to think too much.
Graphics
I really enjoyed how well detailed the graphics were and despite that, they ran really smoothly and didn’t lag at all. I usually find when app game graphics are amazing, it usually comes at the cost of the game lagging and being ridiculously slow. But Full Fat have nailed this one. Flick Quarterback 19 fills the whole screen which is aesthetically pleasing in itself and it’s colorful, detailed and fun.
You can choose how you want to look, well not completely but you can choose your team, number and skin color. It would be cool to be able to choose other features but I guess that would be pointless as you wouldn’t be able to see them under the helmet anyway.
Music & Sounds
The starting music is fun and gets you fired up for the game. This is when you choose your character and pick your name. Once you get into the gameplay, there’s no music, but you can hear all of the sounds you would in a real football match. Like whistling, cheering, clapping, booing, grunting. All of that jazz.
I really like the fact that there’s not constant music playing during the game as I think it would separate the gameplay from a real match.
Controls
The controls are in the title – flick! To throw the ball to your teammates, you flick upwards and pray that your teammate catches the ball! Just kidding, you have to throw it at the exact right time to avoid the wind ruining your shot.
Overall, these controls are obviously easy to use so you can focus completely on your game without worrying about how to work the controls properly.

With training points, you can upgrade your player. This also enhances your gameplay. In my opinion, these purchases are definitely worth it as your skills to help you to some extent, but an extra boost is definitely a good idea.
The Verdict
Overall, Quarterback 19 is a fun, quick game that you can play when you have a few minutes to spare. It would be perfect to play on your commute to work, on a lunch break or even in the evenings when you’re sitting with your cup of tea.
The graphics really are amazing and I love the sound quality on top of that. It really is obvious how much effort was put into this game and it wasn’t just a quick job to grab some money.
