Hey Casual Gamers! I don’t think I’ll ever stress enough of my love for Monopoly! Wherever I see it online, I have to try it at least once! So, in a casual app gamer 1st, we will start reviewing Casino Games! What better place to start than my favorite: Monopoly Slots!
Gameplay
Before you dive into any casino, ALWAYS KNOW YOUR LIMITS! Never pay for coins with money you don’t have! Now that’s out of the way…
Help Mr. Monopoly rebuild the Monopoly block with the use of slots! Yeah that’s pretty much it! But seriously, there’s a few more parts of the casual app that makes it a little less about slots.
During play, you are assigned tasks that will improve the monopoly board into profitable spaces! To achieve this, you will need monopoly bucks, which can only be won completing other tasks. Most of these include playing a reel a certain number or times or hitting free spins. Sounds reasonable, right?
Man, how wrong I was! The Random Number Generator (RNG for short) is insanely horrible. You will easily blow through any time of free money the casual app gives and will hit you with the store page when you are out of coins!
Graphics
Monopoly Slot’s graphic are pretty colorful and vivid. Too bad it doesn’t always translate into the actual slots. Some slots you can see have some type of additional special effects or graphics to them. Other seem like they just took them out of the casino and slapped it on an app. Is that a bad thing? I suppose if you are used to seeing the slots during a casual visit to the casino. If you are a casual gamer and looking to try your luck, it may feel like it’s run dry with this app .
Music
Que your favorite playlist, because there’s not much to the music. If you are a casino junkie, then the sound of wins and the sounds of getting 2/3 bonuses will make you feel at home.
Truthfully, drowning out the casino noise when I’m in one is my main priority. Doing so here would be just as acceptable, and there’s an added bonus of not smelling like smoke!
Controls
Unlike your favorite casino machine, there’s an auto-spin feature that can be used to casually spin as you pray to the RNG forces. I suppose this point and click style really helps out when you are focus on completing the tasks. There’s not much real interaction with the board so that does take a bit away from the casual app. This is a bit of a slots game, so it shouldn’t be too shocking that there’s not much to do with the board.
The Power of in-app Purchases
Truthfully, I haven’t found a real reason to make a purchase on Monopoly Slots. One of the major turn offs was that the rng in-game is terrible. Even on max bet, you have a more than likely to get skunked and taunted by the buy page.
Most of my plays have been on my run of free coins, so I’d like to think that if you were to make a purchase, the slots would give an easier win. Something makes me doubt this. I’d try to steer clear of a purchase and just try your luck with free coins!
The Verdict
As much as I love Monopoly, I don’t think the slots will do it for me right now. Instead of feeling like practice for the casinos and fun for the casual gamer, it’s just feel like a money grab. There’s a constant push for buying coins and the slot weights (weights are what casinos use to make hitting bonus reels elusive) seem to be set to the tightest restrictions.
I’d love for Monopoly Slots to feel a little bit more like Monopoly instead of just being stuck on one side of the board and being asked for funds to maybe complete my tasks. I do enjoy the artwork and the casino noises.
