Hey Casual Gamers! Next up is another casual app in the Skillz Games family!
If you are a lover of blackjack, have I got a casual app right up your alley! Not only is this an intresting twist on the game, but you can win real cash prizes if your really good!
Lets dig deep into the deck and find our streak in this casual review of 21 Blitz!
Gameplay
This Skillz Game is deceptively easy! You start with 4 lanes and a full deck of cards. The object is to get 21 without going bust! The randomness of the deck will be your greatest enemy, so choose wisely where the cards are laid!
This is a surprisingly great way to exercise your casual math brain! If you have a profile with other Skillz Games, all currency is transferable!
Graphics
I absolutely love the layout for 21 Blitz! It’s flush and allows full concentration on the goal: Dem Points! Navigating through the menus were a breeze as well. Make sure to go through the tutorial as it is pretty clear and will get you playing matches the fastest!
The homepage can be slightly confusing, but after a few times looking at the stats, it becomes user friendly.
Music
I’m sure no one is really expecting some epic guitar riff while playing 21 Blitz, but the in-game music and sounds are relaxing enough to leave it playing!
Some of the sounds are important, mostly the timer noises, but you’re not missing anything leaving the volume off for a casually epic playlist.
Controls
Basic point and clicks are what make this an awesome casual app! Always aim for the lane you want to drop the card in. I haven’t ran into any “fat finger” instances and dropped a card in the wrong lane, and I suppose that’s for good reason. These matches get really close even in the practices!
The Power of in-app Purchases
So, I’m slightly torn on this. Yes, it does take money to play in the money modes, but there’s a reasonable chance to earn your money back on a win!
I caution anyone who’s not familiar with 21 Blitz or any Skillz game not to blindly throw money into your account. Competition is very fierce and you can find yourself with an empty account and un-casual salty rage.
The Verdict
21 Blitz has a pretty good place on my phone. Not only is this casual app fun, there’s an actual chance of winning money from just playing! If this doesn’t jump start someone’s dream of making money online playing casual apps, I don’t know what will!
Happy Gaming, and as always, keep it casual!
