Gameplay
Listen up Harry Potter fans, there’s a new game here based in your favorite Wizarding World! In this match-3 game, you get to explore Harry’s journey through life from Privet Drive to the battle of Hogwarts. Each scene will include a number of puzzles where you need to match blocks together and score points!
Although I wasn’t necessarily excited for yet another match-3 game, the fact this is based around Harry Potter and the Wizarding World makes it a lot more tolerable. I really enjoyed the puzzles and felt that they were a nice middle ground between easy and difficult.
Graphics
I didn’t think I’d like the graphics much as they’re not usually great in match-3 games, however, I found it really interesting how well-detailed the characters are. All of the characters look recognizable to the films, however, they don’t move. This isn’t a big deal as it’s not that type of game, if you’re looking for a more action-packed Hogwarts game, Hogwarts Mystery is a great one!
Music & Sounds
As for the music and sounds, the characters do have their own catchphrases, however, they’re repeated a lot and become annoying after a while. The Harry Potter soundtrack we all know and love plays in the background of all of the puzzles so it’s worth having your sound on!
Controls
To control the icons, you need to swipe and match them in threes or more. By doing this, you can summon power-ups and other cool features to help you through the levels.

The Verdict
I actually prefer this game to Hogwarts Mystery, mainly because this is based around Harry’s life and includes all the characters we know and love from the films and books. The puzzles are not too hard, yet are different every time so it’s fairly difficult to get bored!
