Gameplay
Our Candy Crush reviews are back and better than ever! We’re super excited to review Candy Crush Friends Saga as we enjoyed playing the others – especially Candy Crush Jelly Saga.
Greeted by Mr. Toffee, the mayor of Candy Town, you are shown exactly how to play which is no different from any other Candy Crush game. Match-3 candies to pass the level along with freeing the animals that are stuck in ice. I like that there’s more to this game, making it slightly harder but just as fun.
Graphics
Again, the graphics have made a huge improvement compared to the other three games in the series. There are more characters, higher-quality graphics, boosters, and levels. Like I say with most Candy Crush games, I love how colorful they are and how good the animation is once you match-3.
Music & Sounds
There’s a lot going on when it comes to the sounds, with a little girl throwing fish at the board while laughing, the sounds made when matching 3 and the music at the end when you win. Like the other games, there is a lot of repetitive words like “Sugar Crush” when you complete a level. It gets a bit annoying after a while, but it’s easily controlled in settings.
Controls
The controls haven’t changed at all. As usual, match-3 candies by dragging the icons together and let the colors work their magic. It’s incredibly easy to control and it’s the perfect game to play while chilling in the evening, however, the levels do get increasingly harder as you get further.

The Verdict
When it comes to match-3 games, I don’t usually have super high expectations as they all pretty much run the same. Which is the same for Candy Crush Friends Saga – it’s essentially the same gameplay as the others in the series with a few extra features. However, the features aren’t amazing enough for them to make a significant difference.
