Our Favorite Games of July
July has been a great month for games, so we thought we’d put together our ultimate favorites of the month! In no particular order, here they are:
Small Town Murders

“Welcome to Thornton Grove, an idyllic hamlet far from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Life is simpler here. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is laid back – but something sinister is hidden just under the surface. A recent string of bizarre crimes has broken the silence in this serene country town. It’s up to aspiring mystery writer Nora Mistry, to unravel the truth. Investigate the scene, follow leads, and narrow down the suspects to find the killer!” – Rovio Entertainment Oyj
Small Town Murders brings an amazing twist to your typical match-3 games with it looking like a traditional fun game with a much darker meaning. Murder mystery games are not everyone’s cup of tea but we thought Small Town Murders did an amazing job at it.

“Beat Blade is an exciting music runner game that offers stunning neon levels and 2020 hit songs. Simply using one thumb to control the character, you can chop the blocks and dodge the traps, reaching the end of the track.” – 耀素 卢
Beat Blade brought Beat Saber realness to mobile and that is the main thing we loved! It’s great when mobile games offer a console experience – and it’s rare too!
Trivia Royale
iOS Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1506822846
Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=games.teatime.trivia&hl=en
Company: Teatime Games
Genre: Casual
Rated: 12+

“In Trivia Royale, you face off in a battle of brains against thousands of players from across the globe. Use your wits to stump the opposition. The more players you strike out, the closer you get to becoming a Royale. Ultimate victory is rewarded by being crowned a ‘Royale’ and gaining access to the exclusive Royale Lounge. But with over 100,000 questions and answers, and more added daily, Royales have to keep their skills sharp to stay on the throne.” – Teatime Games
Trivia Royale is definitely our ultimate favorite of the month due to its unique trivia experience. Think Fortnite and any trivia game had a baby. You’re put up against 1000 people in mini trivia rounds to try and win a crown. It’s a great way to keep in contact with friends and challenge them during this difficult time.
Nightfall
iOS Link: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/nightfall-online-multiplayer/id1476707129
Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.bbc.nightfall&hl=en_GB
Company: BBC Media Applications Technologies Limited
Genre: Action
Rated: 9+
“Join the ranks of the Nightfallers and play with your friends in this free online multiplayer game. Work as a team to light up the darkness and protect the dream from the Nightmares and their minions, the Nags. Defeating Nightmares unlocks gates between REM zones, allowing Nightfallers to go into the deepest, darkest reaches of the dream. There, the Nightmares’ corruption is at its strongest, and where enemies are at their most deadly.” – BBC Media Applications Technologies Limited
We were taken by a surprise a bit when we found out Nightfall was a completely free game and we didn’t quite know what to expect. However, it was super fun to be able to work with people in teams rather than against them! The best part is that the chat system is censored so it’s perfect for children too.
Pocket Sniper

Android Link: Not currently available
Company: JPGroup
Genre: First-person Shooter
Rated: 12+
“Aim through your sniper scope and make your best shot with Pocket Sniper.” – JPGroup
Pocket Sniper definitely isn’t the best on the list, but it did come as a surprise to us how much we actually enjoyed it. All sniper shooter fans should give this one a go!
So that’s our roundup of July, let us know what your favorite games for this month were!
