Gameplay
Play tournaments against other players in Golf Star! The first thing I noticed when I opened Golf Star was that it’s completely different from any other golf game I’ve played before. Entering the game, you’re given an extensive list of instructions on how to play and it definitely gets overwhelming! If I’m honest with you, I still don’t know how exactly to play it and I was playing it for an hour. However, what I do know is that it is a lot more detailed than other golf games available on the app store.
Most app games consist of you being matched up with another player and shoot your shot the best you can until one of you wins. However, Golf Star is definitely more for those who are golf-obsessed. There are special skills you need to remember, techniques to get your shot and lots more. So if you’re someone who plays golf often, this is definitely something for you!
Graphics
The app store describes Golf Star as a game with exceptional graphics, and I have to say I agree. The graphics are amazing, but they’re definitely not the best I’ve seen. However, I feel as if a game like this needs to have great graphics as it gives a lot more of a real feel to it. You can even pick your own character to play with to personalize your experience more.
Music & Sounds
There is no background music during the gameplay, which I’m very happy about. Golf Star is quiet and all you can hear are birds tweeting most of the time. When you shoot your shot, a girl who sounds a lot like Barbie will comment on how you did!
Controls
I found the controls difficult to get used to as you’re bombarded with a lot of information when you first start to play. Click the button on the right to start the process once you’re happy with your shooting distance. When you click that button, a line will move across a bar at the bottom, hitting the button again at the right time will determine how accurate your shot is going to be.

The Verdict
Golf Star, to me, was definitely no Golf Clash… However, it was definitely fun when I managed to get used to all of the controls and special skills I had to remember. If you’re big on golf, this is definitely one for the download list as it’s the most accurate to real golf.
