Gameplay
If you’re a fan of Rocket League, you’re going to want to play this! It’s been brought to mobile but with a twist, you can see the pitch from a side view and it’s all about swiping jumps correctly in order to get the ball in the target!
I’ve played Rocket League a handful of times, and I personally find it pretty hard to control. It takes a lot of practice to get good at it, whereas, this game is a lot easier and perfect because you can play at any time, any place!
The game starts off with a really in-depth tutorial that then goes into Freeplay, allowing you to practice properly before going into a proper match! This way you can go into a real match confident that you’ll score some points!
Graphics
The graphics aren’t bad for a scaled-down version of the popular game. I don’t think it looks too different from the console game – the only difference is that you’re playing from a side view, not a point of view.
Music & Sounds
The audio for Rocket League Sideswipe is perfect and exactly like the console game, keeping the authenticity high. I love the songs that are featured and I really feel like it adds a lot to the gameplay as a whole!
Controls
The controls consist of swiping (hence the name) and I really love how the controls work. There’s also a boost button that’ll allow you to speed up for a little but make sure not to use it for too long as it runs out quickly!

You can purchase items with SP. SP is often earned by salvaging unwanted cosmetic items and in Presents.

The Verdict
I really enjoyed playing this game, perhaps more than I thought I would! You can play with random people, any time, any place and the matches are only 2 minutes so they’re the perfect length.
