Gameplay
The Collage Atlas has gameplay I have never seen before in my time reviewing games. Although it’s an adventure game, the tasks you have to complete are all based around words and quotes and it’s amazingly calm.
In a world that unlocks as you explore it, you can find lots of different hidden pages of the book that’ll help you along the way.
Graphics
Have you ever seen a mobile game or even a game in general that’s completely hand-drawn? No? Me neither. The Collage Atlas graphics are not only extremely unique but beautiful as it’s quite clear a lot of work was put into them.
Music & Sounds
Along with the calming graphics, the music and sounds for this game just draw the whole relaxing vibe together. I absolutely loved playing this game with the sound on and I don’t think you could play it without, just because of how well it adds to the gameplay.
Controls
On the left-hand side of the screen, there’s a virtual joystick to move around and one on the right to look around. Using these will allow you to explore the area.
The Power of in-app Purchases
This game is part of the Apple Arcade subscription (£4.99) so it contains no in-app purchases or ads.
The Verdict
The Collage Atlas is something I’ve never seen before on the app store and I was pleasantly surprised once I started playing. This is the perfect game for when you’ve had a long, stressful day and need a game where you don’t need to think much.
