A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand.
You control Mario by tapping as he constantly runs forward. You time your taps to pull off stylish jumps, midair spins, and wall jumps to gather coins and reach the goal!
Super Mario Run can be downloaded for free and after you purchase the game, you will be able to play all the modes with no additional payment required. You can try out all four modes before purchase: World Tour, Toad Rally, Remix 10, and Kingdom Builder.

Hey Casual Gamers! Me and Mario go way back. I remember getting a Nintendo and seeing him for the first time. Now, many moons later, we have both evolved to have our fun on the go!
Super Mario Run offers multiple modes of play, but is this epic app worth your casual time? lets jump in this casual review of Super Mario Run and see!
Gameplay
Since its much anticipated arrival to the app store a while back, Super Mario Run has changed and rebuild many of it’s options and modes!
Make sure you pay attention to the tutorial! The controls are really easy enough to use one hand while playing. That said, make sure you bring some skill!
Some of the newer versions include Remix 10, a quick shot of 10 levels to run through while collecting special coins!
Graphics
These graphics will not disappoint! The colorful graphics that lives in every Mario Bros. game has not been skimped on in the mobile version.
As much as I’d like to have every casual app in the app store to be this beautiful, not all developers have a powerhouse like Nintendo behind it.
This is a completely satisfying visual treat!
Music
Music options like this make me happy. If you aren’t into the great musical score of Super Mario Run, you can use a music app on your phone to pump in outside music!
Man, Nintendo thought of everything to accommodate the grind!
But seriously, it’s such a bonus to this casual app. You, Mario, some coins, and your best playlist.
A match made in casual heaven!
Controls
Truthfully, Super Mario Run can be played with one hand. All there is to do is jump! Mario, or any of the other characters unlocked, does the rest! I haven’t noticed a ground slam or anything of that nature.
Most of the monsters encountered can be jumped over without the need of a thumb press. with exception to the spiky monsters running around.
Its easy to get caught up in the numerous amount of menus in the game. Thankfully, most of the ones you will use are visible and easy to access.
The Power of in-app Purchases
Get ready for a true commercial free casual app! There’s only one real purchase for unlocking every world for $6.99. Doing it level by level seems more enjoyable, but if you need to have access to the other world, (star world is real!) then it would be a great purchase towards that goal.
There’s even more rewards for linking up your nintendo account to Super Mario Run! Once your friends list is populated and playing, you can see their progress, or even challenge them to some of the fun modes of play!
The Verdict
Finally, an app I’m proud to shout get this casual app! Super Mario Run was a little shaky when it came out, but all the recent updates have seem to turn it around for the better!
If you have downloaded this at the launch, it’s definitely worth a restore and re-download on your phone or tablet!
Simple controls and epic competition against others, this is gaming done right here. It makes me happy that even after all the years, Mario can still be the fun plumber I grew up with!
