Following SNK’s amazing Neo Geo Mini, Sega has decided to follow suit with its own miniature arcade gaming micro-console, the Astro City Mini. Like the Neo Geo Mini, the Astro City Mini supports separate controllers as well as HDMI output and apparently boasts a total of 36 classic arcade titles. The games Sega has released thus far include Alien Syndrome, Alien Storm, Golden Axe, Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder, Columns II, Dark Edge, Puzzle & Action: Tant-R, Virtua Fighter, Fantasy Zone and Altered Beast.

The Astro City Mini is so cute and looks like the perfect gift for retro gaming fans! Although the lineup is amazing, it comes as a surprise that Columns II is there as it wasn’t the most popular release from SEGA. What do you think of the lineup?

King, the creators of Candy Crush Saga has revealed a new free-to-play mobile game for Android and iOS featuring the one and only Crash Bandicoot. In Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, players are tasked with stopping recurring series antagonist Doctor Neo Cortex from taking control of the multiverse.

Mobile game studio Traplight is launching its Battle Legion mobile strategy game worldwide and announcing a $9 million funding round that EQT Ventures led. Players can pick a strategy and watch the game unfold in 100-versus-100 mass battles. The team’s ambition is to build the next global gaming success story, and with that level of funding, it’s worth taking seriously.

Battle Legion sounds like a great game so it’s exciting to know Traplight managed to secure $9M in funding. They have other investors including Play Ventures, Initial Capital, and Heartcore Capital which will also help them make the game even better.

Newest Witcher Game Now Available on iOS

CD Projekt Red has released the latest Witcher game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, on iOS. Unlike most mobile games, Thronebreaker comes at a price of $10. According to the App Store listing, it’ll demand 2GB of space in addition to $10. For this, you get the complete, 30-hour plus adventure on your mobile.

This is absolutely fantastic news for Witcher fans out there. Now a console doesn’t need to be present in order to play Thronebreaker. Although it costs $10, it is significantly cheaper in price than it is on other devices. One of our favorite things is seeing console games on mobile as it really does show that mobile gaming is taking over the industry!
