Gameplay

When the city gets destroyed by a bunch of animals, your job as the mayor is to rebuild through merging. You start off with a Wigwam and as you progress, you’ll be able to merge new cities. Citizens will come out of the buildings and will help kill any bosses who try to destroy the city again.

The gameplay is fun and it’s incredibly rewarding to merge buildings to make bigger and better ones!

Graphics

The graphics are great for the type of game and I found it quite cute seeing the little residents destroying the big bosses. Although not the most detailed visuals out there, it’s perfect for this genre.

Music & Sounds

The music doesn’t add much value to me in my opinion, just because it’s pretty generic and loud. You could definitely play this game without sound and it wouldn’t change a thing!

Controls

Tap at the bottom to purchase a building and then merge two of the same buildings together by dragging.

The controls are easy to follow which makes this game perfect for killing time during a commute, lunch breaks, or even when you’re just chilling in the evenings.

The Verdict

Overall, Merge Empires is a fun game to play when you have a few minutes spare so if that’s what you’re looking for then get downloading! However, for me, I just don’t think it’ll ever get played on my phone because I have other games that are a lot better.
