Land the bacon on the item!

I love indie games that are slightly odd, and this is exactly that. The gameplay is simple: flip the bacon onto the item and you win. You start off with a cheeseburger, but the levels quickly develop into weirder items like a Piña Colada or even America.

The graphics are simple!

The visuals are very simple – a plain background, a frying pan, a piece of bacon, and whatever item you need to get the bacon on. That’s it. Normally I’d criticize plain graphics, but with this type of game, it works really well. Straight to the point without being boring!

Music & Sounds

The audio is simple just like the graphics. Every time your bacon falls back onto the pan it makes a sizzling noise and that’s all you can hear during the gameplay. If you complete a level, you’ll hear opera music which is super random but I love it!

Tap to control!

To control your piece of bacon, simply tap the frying pan and basically hope for the best. Sometimes it’s really hard to get it in one, so be prepared to continuously tap!

The Power of in-app Purchases

Purchase other games by the developer to remove ads!

The in-app purchases for this game are something I’ve never seen before on the app store. You can remove all ads and banners from the game by purchasing Supertype or See/Saw on the app store (two other games by Philipp Stollenmayer). Buy the game and input the code and it’ll remove all ads!

  • Supertype is £1.79
  • See/saw is £2.49

This is a great way to get indie developers seen as it forces you to play another one of their games if you really want to remove ads.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

Indie developers who decide to make these super weird games have my heart. I had a lot of fun playing this, although I can’t imagine it’s something I’ll be playing long-term. It’s fun for when you have a spare few minutes though!

If you decide to download Bacon, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
