Hey Casual Gamers! I’d like to try something new with this review. Because this a unique, yet pretty brief game I would just like to do a quick highlight of why this could be the perfect casual game for you!
Gameplay
Ever just wanted to do something for the hell of it? This is the type of casual gaming you will get from Knife Dash. You are presented with a trusty fork and with a tap, it flies off into the current food looking to be destroyed. The one issue? You instantly lose when two knifes touch each other. There are over 40 different knifes to choose from after you have sliced enough oranges. You do start off with a fork, or as I call it, the Tri-Knife!
So, its not the best plot of a story. Knife Dash gets the job done when it comes to removing casual boredom for a short time. I can play for a few minutes and then go do something else!
Controls
Tap the screen and sling a fork! That’s about it for the game. The challenge comes when you have to carefully aim the fork to not hit another fork and to take out any pesky oranges randomly placed on the food. Simple controls for a satisfying food explosion!
Music
There not much to really speak of. Just various sound effects. It’s a pretty big miss in my opinion. Even a 30 loop or something would have been okay.
The Power of In-App Purchases
So the only real purchase on Knife Dash would be to take the Ads out for $2.99. I don’t think it’s really worth has the game isn’t littered with ads, and the ones that are in the game can be easily clicked away. If you mange to sit through the 30 second ads, you will be rewarded with a chance to continue where you failed.
The Verdict
For what you want out it, Knife Dash does the job. I do love a good Indie game, and this is a game you can play in under five mins without any real commitment. I feel that you always need that one stress reliving casual game when you don’t want to focus on a bigger game being played.
