Hey Casual Gamers! Puzzlers always seem to do my brain a little bit of good! Along comes Color Bump 3D! A casual app game that seems pretty simple at first, but then throws a numerous set a of trials at you with what seems to be endless levels of two tone colors!
Gameplay
If I didn’t nail it in the opener, the object of this simple game is to make your ball across a maze of two color shapes! Touch the ones that are the same color as the ball and you’re safe. Touch any other color, and it’s game over!
Doesn’t get much simpler than that! It’s part of that simplicity that makes it such a great casual app game to hide to the puzzler corner of your phone!
Graphics
Oddly enough, the graphics on this casual app puts me in a more relaxed mood! Maybe it has something to do with the colors and the shapes, but after a few lvls I feel a tab bit better going about the day.
There’s not much but shapes and colors, but each level has a different setup. It makes the time playing pretty enjoyable.
Music
There’s no music to talk about in this casual app. At all. No sound effects or anything! It’s kind of a miss if you ask this casual gamer. While it’s not too hard to add that perfect playlist to Color Bump 3D, it would have made it just a little better with sound!
Controls
This part is simple! Just tap to start, and guide the ball with your finger! Now for the control part! Sometimes the ball and move slower or faster than expected. This make finger placement important in the higher levels. There’s no give when it comes to touching other colors as well! Feels like the hit box might be a bit bigger than expected.
It doesn’t really take anything way from Color Bump 3D. Think of it as another layer of a challenge. I’m sure it won’t feel that way at higher levels, but it’s acceptable for now.
The Power of in-app Purchases
The only purchase I could see was for the removal of ads. for a mere 1.99, all ads are gone! This works great because after most levels, there’s an ad waiting for you at the end of the level. Thankfully the ads aren’t too annoying, but it’s still 30 seconds you can’t get back.
It’s not too much of a hassle, as it seems after a few ads you can climb a few levels before the ad wall hits again.
The Verdict
Overall, I’m okay with Color Bump 3D! It’s not the classiest casual app, but it does get the job done! The levels start off pretty easy and become more creative as you advance. I really wish there was some music to Color Bump, but it’s doable without and I do have a pretty bumping playlist to make up for it!

Happy gaming, and as always, keep it casual!
