PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular battle royale games out there, along with Fortnite. PUBG, better known as PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, has had a huge increase in popularity since being released on mobile and we love it! Although we said in our review that we wouldn’t play it again, we totally did and we became completely obsessed with it. One of the main reasons we said we weren’t going to play it again was because it was complicated to play at first, so we have put together a beginner’s guide for anyone who wants to get into it.
For a brilliant gaming experience, it’s important that you have set up all the settings exactly how you want them.
The main objective of PUBG is to be the last man or team standing. Which means you need to kill the other 99 people on the map! Kills aren’t a big deal, it’s more about just winning. If you get 30 kills but end up dying within the first 10 minutes of the match, it means nothing. Killing 1 person but winning the match means a lot more.
Once everyone has joined the game, you’ll be flying over the map on an airplane. A lot of people tend to jump out straight away – don’t do this. I personally find that landing near schools, military bases, and houses gives me the best results but you have to be quick. A lot of people are going to do the exact same thing, so prioritize finding a gun before anything else. If you’re not so confident, you can land on the outskirts where there isn’t much going on. The only problem with this is that it will take you a while to find any weapons or enemies.
Stay on the move. There is no point trying to hide in a certain place on the map because more likely than not, you’ll be found. Keeping active will ensure that if someone takes a shot at you, they’ve got less of a chance of hitting you. When you’re trying to shoot someone, lay down and hide in the long grass. But again, don’t stay put for too long.
The minimap will show you the locations of important sounds like footsteps, vehicles, and gunshots. This will help you plan your next move and whether you’re going to hide, or attempt to kill whoever is coming. The noise made by your teammates can’t be heard by you, so it’ll never be a false alarm.
The vehicles can be great at the beginning of the match, especially since the map is super big and can be hard to get around on foot. Get in a vehicle, pick up your teammates if they’re nearby and discover a different part of the map. Don’t use the vehicles towards the end of the map, though. The noise isn’t worth it – the trick is to be sneaky.
Airdrops are placed randomly around the map and are filled with the best loot. But beware that everyone is wanting a piece of it, make sure you go to it with caution so you’re not killed by someone hiding in the sidelines.
When it comes to the remaining 10 in the match, you will notice that it’s really hard to find anyone. Yet the map is tiny. Why is that? They’re all strategically hiding, waiting for you to run past. So do the same – quickly find a spot and hide ready with your gun. Remember, the people that are left are the best in the game, they’ve survived this long so make sure you manage to take them out before they get you.
Master these PUBG tips and you’ll be a pro in no time. Prepare, collect, and defeat!
