I wanted to do something a little bit different today and introduce you to a world of epic manga battles! I talk about none other than the Shonen Jump Manga, one of the world’s most popular magazines!
With it’s first issue launched August 1st, 1968, Shonen Jump has since sold over 7.5 Billion copies! Not to mention it has inspired generation after generation of cartoonist and manga creators!

Graphics & Controls
Shonen jump manga are in black and white, with some exceptions to special editions. These comics also read from right to left, so if you aren’t really used to that, it can take some time to get the hang of how the the panels.
But let me tell you, it’s completely worth the few minutes it takes to learn! Not only do you gain access to some of the most popular manga like, Dragonball Super, One Piece, and Dr. Stone, there are also manga that haven’t been developed into anime, such as one my favorites, Chainsaw Man!

I could get started on the long list of Shonen manga that’s in this casual app, but instead I’ll give you some of my favorites!
Chainsaw Man
If you haven’t heard of Chainsaw Man yet, do yourself a favor and get into it now! This has been by far one of the most insane mangas I’ve read in the long time. It starts off with a Boy named Denji and his pet Pochita. Just as Denji is about to die to some dirty business, Pochita fuses with Denji to become his heart and give rise to Chainsaw Man!
Black Clover
In a world full of magic, Asta is a boy with hopes of becoming a Magic Knight! The only problem is he has no magic to call his own! Join him and his lifelong friend Yuno in a world that keeps getting crazier as the story progresses! Asta makes me want to push past my limits! This manga is already in anime production for it’s next season!
Dragon Ball Super
A continuation of the popular manga, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super sees our Z fighters combating evil on different planets and even going up against rival universes in a tournament of power!
In the most recent chapters Goku and Vegeta come head to head with Moro, a prisoner that escaped out of Galactic Prison and is on a mission to consume planets! Every encounter with Moro leaves the fighters drained in his presence!
The Moro Saga has not started animation production as of yet, but be sure it’s on its way sooner than later!

Verdict
Not to sound dated, but I remember a time when anime was only on a few niche channels in the cable lineup. Flash forward to now, not only is there a robust lineup of anime on Adult Swim/Toonami, CrunchyRoll offers tons of subbed and dubbed anime titles!
