Why We Love Hidden Object Games (and Our Faves)
What is a hidden object game?
A hidden object game is a genre of puzzle video game where the player must find specific items from a list that are hidden within a picture. There’s usually a storyline involved and completing the puzzles helps work out the mystery. We’ve reviewed our fair share of hidden object games so we thought it was time to show you our favorites so far:
Murder in the Alps

What we thought: Murder in the Alps storyline kept us hooked on the gameplay for a very long time. On top of this, the levels were actually hard so it kept us thinking for some time and the graphics were great!

Hidden Objects: Coastal Hill

What we thought: Hidden Objects: Coastal Hill was one of the more unique hidden object games out there. For example, there’s a level where you find the objects based on the silhouettes rather than the names. Most of the hidden object games we’ve come across haven’t switched things up like that so it was nice to see something different.

What we thought: Although we thought it wasn’t as unique as some other hidden object games, it was still fun to play. There’s an option to play with friends and compare scores which always gets us feeling competitive!
The graphics were also great, however, they did remind us of Gardenscapes quite a bit. They’re cartoon-like, colorful, and run smoothly without crashing.

What we thought: Time Guardians was really addicting to play and ended up spending a lot of nights completely engrossed in the gameplay. Hidden object games are usually set in the 1800s so it was interesting to see a different style for a mystery game and it worked perfectly with the storyline!
