Cooking Town Review

Cooking Town Review!

“Cook, decorate your restaurant, and serve your customers the best dishes in Cooking Town! Start a highly addictive time management game in which you can build your restaurant, decorate the buildings of the block, and make it a cooking paradise, with a more refreshing operating experience!

Welcome to Cooking Town, and your grandma and friends are in urgent need of help – the family restaurant, and this once bustling gourmet town, is disappearing because of excessive real-estate development.”

Gameplay

Serve customers to earn stars!

The storyline for Cooking Town is something I’ve seen on the app store many, many times before. You have to save an abandoned town by earning stars. Stars will allow you to progress with the renovation of the town, but how do you earn them? By serving customers at the burger joint! Completing a level rewards you with one star, but renovations can cost more than one. My advice is to rack up as many stars as possible so you’re not going backward and forwards in the gameplay.

I liked the gameplay, but as I said, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before so it’s hard to say much about it.

Graphics

The graphics are nothing special!

The graphics, again, are nothing new. It’s your typical cartoon-like graphics, characters with big eyes, and distinctive features. The customers are all the same 6 people as well so it doesn’t feel like there’s much variety at all!

Music & Sounds

I’m not a fan of the audio, mainly because it adds nothing to the gameplay and is super repetitive. You don’t need the sound on to play this game!

Controls

Tap to build the burger!

To serve customers, tap on the burger, then the bun and it’ll automatically give them the food. As the levels go on, there will be extras to go in the burger like cheese or lettuce so make sure you tap on those too!

The controls are easy to follow but as always with games like this, it’s easier to make all the food in advance so you can keep up with the influx of customers.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

Although Cooking Town is a fun game to play, and if you’re new to app games you’re bound to like it, I just found that nothing about it stood out to me. Games like this are heavily saturated in the app store and most of the time they have their own USP, just not this time.

If you decide to download Cooking Town, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
