To be honest, when I first started playing this game, I was convinced I had played it before. I thought it was Dear My Cat, but it isn’t, it’s a completely separate game with the same two cat characters.
After that slight panic, I realized that the gameplay is completely different. In The Secret Cat Island, you’re uncovering an island while restoring collapsed bridges, building houses, and farming! It’s the ultimate comfort game!
On the theme of comfort, the visuals fit in well with this. The colors are all misty and calm with the island being nice to look at, rather than confusing (too much to look at).
The audio is extremely relaxing – I felt like going to sleep! Again, this ties in well with the gameplay. I have no complaints.
This is an energy-type game so it requires a lot of tapping and dragging. You can build houses, cook food, and even restore bridges during your time on the island!
As far as comfort games go, this was certainly a good game! Obviously, it’s not everyone’s thing as it doesn’t require much brainpower to play, but I think it’s a great option for winding down at the end of the day!
