Gameplay
When I downloaded Tales Up: Adventure Together, I just assumed that it would be another interactive stories app like Choices or Episode but I was so wrong. This game was extremely different, with the player having to get involved with items and hidden clues within the story.
In addition to the more detailed gameplay, you also play this online with three other friends. During the story, you and your friends get to make your own decisions leading to the end. Working together will give you the happy ending that’s needed.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have anyone to play with during my experience with Tales Up: Adventure so I had to play with bots but it was just as fun.
Graphics
The graphics weren’t anything impressive with characters popping up only occasionally. There were a lot of words rather than visuals in this game so if that isn’t your thing, I would avoid it.
Music & Sounds
I played the story Secrets of the Academy which had upbeat, magical music in the background. Sadly, the characters don’t talk but it makes sense as this is a game based on reading!
Controls
The controls were simple: hold down on your answer to lock it in. The controls were easy but I kept tapping instead of holding down so it’s definitely easy to forget.

There’s an endless number of stories to choose from but these are a few of them with their price range:

- Meowfia Mayhem for 600 tokens or 100 tickets
- Sunken Legends for 1200 tokens or 160 tickets
- The Ghost of Vienna for 500 tokens or 80 tickets
- God of the Peaks for 600 tokens or 100 tickets
The Verdict
This game was definitely different so it gets a point for being unique compared to other games in the same genre. However, I found that the stories weren’t my thing. This is personal to me so it would be wrong to say this is a bad game – in fact, it’s really good!
