Swift Knight! Review!
“You are a knight that enters the dangerous cave to save a princess and get rid of debts. You’ll have to run as fast as you can because the dragon is chasing you! Also, you’ll need to collect herbs, gold and keys on your way to proceed to the depths of the cave. If a casual endless runner is too easy for you, try this game. You won’t regret it.”

Gameplay
For the gameplay, you become a Knight who is running away from a dragon and you come across a whole bunch of obstacles that will attempt to slow you down. With the simple tapping controls, you can get through these obstacles as long as you get through them quickly and effectively. There are jumps, spikes in the ceiling, ingredients for potions, treasure chests, switches, vines, and spikes on the floor. You get 100 lives, but don’t be fooled by them, getting hurt by the obstacles can take your lives down by almost half. Luckily, you can gain it back by collecting the red lights during the run.
Graphics
The graphics are pretty standard for a game like this and they didn’t impress me much. But, like most games, they’re not necessarily bad. Nothing lags, the game is colorful and the animations work perfectly.
Music & Sounds
The music is pretty silly and not to be taken seriously, which gives the impression that your knight character is quite dopey and not with it. There are of course sounds when you come across obstacles and when your dragon gets close to you.
Controls
Tap the left side of the screen to stop running, open chests, and activate switches and doors. Tap the right side of the screen to jump and cut vines. The controls are pretty simple but I did find that a lot of the time I got confused about what side I needed to tap. For example, I’d want to stop to let spikes on the floor go down but I’d end up jumping and getting hurt instead. After a while, it did become easier to control and remember what side controls what action.

The Verdict
Swift Knight! is a great little game to play to really test your skills and see how hard you can work under pressure. If you don’t work quickly, you’re either going to be eaten by the dragon or hurt/killed by the obstacles that get in your way. I’m not going to keep Swift Knight! on my phone but I know for sure that it’s a game that I’ll end up going back to in a couple of months.
