Our Favorite Games of August

August has been a great month for games, so we thought we’d put together our ultimate favorites of the month! In no particular order, here they are:

Grand Hotel Mania

“People all over the world need to get away, and they want to have fun. They travel for business or pleasure, and they want to take a break from the daily grind or do something fancy. It’s up to you to build the most comfortable hotels for them!” – DCGamePub

Grand Hotel Mania is one of those games that merge two different genres together and it worked really well. As we’re big fans of games where you’re under a time limit and need to serve customers, this was a really enjoying experience. However, it’s important to note that you’ll probably need to make an in-app purchase at some point.

Mini Golf King

Mini Golf King brought a big step up to the average golf game with well designed and thought-out courses that made us want to play a real game of mini-golf! Sometimes regular mobile golf games are perfect, but if you want to switch it up a bit, this is for you.

Subway Surfers

“DASH as fast as you can in Subway Surfers! DODGE the oncoming trains! Help Jake, Tricky & Fresh escape from the grumpy Inspector and his dog.” – Sybo Games

Subway Surfers is a classic, if you haven’t played it, what’re you doing? Not only did it make us feel incredibly nostalgic but it’s just an all-round enjoyable game. There’s nothing to complain about which is why this game is on this list.

Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe

“Discover for yourself why the SaGa series is beloved by RPG fans across the world! Beautiful art, unforgettable songs, and a tactical battle system friendly to both casual and hardcore players await you!” – Square Enix

Romancing SaGa Re;universe should be an automatic and instant download for anyone into RPGs. Not only does it give great action, but a compelling storyline that isn’t too hard to follow. It’s hard to find good RPGs that don’t feel like they’re playing the game themselves, but this app seems to find the right balance of playstyle and autoplay that doesn’t feel like a cash grab!

Papa’s Wingeria to Go

“Fry and toss tons of saucy wings and things in Papa’s Wingeria To Go!

It’s your lucky day! After winning a trip to the glitzy and glamorous Starlight City, you take a chance on the Mega Prize game and win the jackpot: A new career at Papa’s Wingeria!” – Flipline Studios

Papa’s Wingeria To Go definitely wears the crown for the best casual game of the month of August. We were nervous about how Flipline was going to change the game in order to fit mobile, but they did it perfectly. The only thing that was different was the fact you can now take mobile orders, but that just takes the game up a notch!

So that’s our roundup of August, let us know what your favorite games for this month were!

Happy gaming and stay casual!
