Gameplay
When I first saw Grand Hotel Mania on the app store, I automatically assumed it was going to be one of those games where you renovate a hotel through match 3 puzzles. But I was wrong. So very wrong. If you’re big on the type of cooking games where you have to serve customers in a certain time limit – this is for you.
You’re the boss of the hotel and it’s your job to make sure everyone’s given a room, the said room gets cleaned and customers receive any room service they request. This is either done in a time limit or reaching a certain amount of tips. I’ve got to admit, I really enjoy this style of game so I ended up playing for a lot longer than I care to admit.
Graphics
I actually thought the graphics were cute. With the characters having big heads and small bodies, I thought they looked liked bobbleheads. I’ve never seen anything like it before in a mobile game but it’s unique and I give it to them.
Everything runs pretty smoothly with no glitches so that’s also a plus.
Music & Sounds
As you’d expect from a game about a hotel, the music is the type of music you’d hear in a hotel lobby. I love this about Grand Hotel Mania as it adds to the vibe of owning your own hotel. It’s always good when developers make sure their music benefits the gameplay!
Controls
Although the controls are simple, all you have to do is tap on the item, the game is fast-paced so it can become overwhelming very quickly. My best tip for keeping track of the customers is to do them all one by one in order. This way you’ll be able to keep on top of any cleaning and room service you need to attend to.

The Verdict
Grand Hotel Mania wasn’t what I expected but I’m so happy with it. Not only do I have to think really hard about keeping up with the customers, but the gameplay is just fun in general. If you love these types of games where you need to keep track of orders or customers, you will definitely like this.
