Gameplay

Give your clients the style they request!

The idea of the gameplay isn’t the worst thing about this game, no, in fact, I loved the whole concept of it. A customer comes in and asks for a haircut and you need to copy it exactly. If you don’t, you get marked down. I found the levels to be pretty easy so it wasn’t exactly hard to get a haircut wrong, however, I did find I was accidentally hurting some of the clients at times which marked me down.

What did bother me was all the other aspects of the game…

Graphics

The graphics were lazy!

…Like the graphics. The graphics were absolutely terrible. In fact, the hair on each client’s head looked like grains of rice and it was pretty offputting. On top of this, none of the clients looked very friendly which also turned me off of the game.

Music & Sounds

Apart from the sound of the razor trimming away at each client’s hair, there isn’t much else to it. Oh, apart from every single client saying “Mhmm, I like it” in the same voice at the end of the cut. Lazy.

Controls

Tap and drag to control!

To get started on your client, tap the correct style and then simply drag your finger around their head to cut the hair.

In-app Purchases

Purchase the removal of ads for £2.49!

The only in-app purchase available in Fade Master 3D is the removal of ads for £2.49. If you’re a fan of this game, it’s a pretty decent purchase as the ads are pretty frequent. I found that they appear after every single client and aren’t skippable.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

Although I liked the idea of the gameplay, all other aspects of the game didn’t live up to my expectations. This was just another easy way for a game developer to make quick money. I won’t be keeping it on my phone.

If you decide to download Fade Master 3D, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with any of the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
