Hey Casual Gamers! If you’ve never heard of an Idle Role Playing Game, let this count as an introduction! The idea of an Idle RPG is that after you’ve played the game for a while, you can exit out of the game and all of your heroes will still be fighting while you casually tackle reality.
The concept seems pretty cool because when you log back in you can still see your heroes fighting for their cause. After reaching a certain point, a type of reset can be done to reset any stats made to unit or income to zero but with the added bonus of some power-ups. It makes for some pretty epic wars!
So is Crush ’em All doing this Genre any favors? Lets find out!
Gameplay
The opening is pretty much the basis of all adventure games. Someone’s hot lady was stolen by a crazy skeleton monster and you have to find other heroes to team up and get your girl back!
I’m a fan of some previous Idle RPGs so I felt like I knew what I was getting into.
The best way to help your heroes out in this game is to directly level them up with coins! You get village that will do task to gain more coins. Once you have enough, flip over to the heroe’s tab and tap your heart out!
Any upgrades can be seen on the top part of the screen! There are ways to gain more heroes until there’s a whole army taken down monsters each level they ascend!
When you get stuck, there’s an option to Ascend, which is basically a reset of stats and a restart at level one.
Graphics
The attention to detail makes for a very enjoyable casual idle RPG. Most of the artwork seen outside the game is used in-game as well. Some of the more common heroes seem a bit boring, but thankfully the two and three star heroes make up for it.
Each boss fight does have a bit of an epic feel to as well. That might wear off after a few hundred fights, but it’s always cool to grind on something graphically sound!
Music
The music offered gives a bit of a cartoon/epic feel to the overall game. I play with the volume off and that doesn’t seem to take any of the casualness away from it. Most of the sounds are just dings and noises from upgrades.
I never expect great music from Idle RPGs, so it’s on par for what’s expected.
Controls
Crush ’em all is a click and go type of game. This is the norm when it comes to idle RPGS. The different events are what give this casual app notice. Most of the other events in game such as daily dungeons find ways to give additional items to further increase the heroes on the main mission!
Paying attention to the tutorial is a little bit of a must, as not all areas are explained. Because it’s mostly just about pointing and clicking, most areas won’t give too much trouble.
The Power of in-app Purchases
App shops that give options are ones that I can get with! There are tons of options to purchase whatever element of fighter needed to get the job done!
Other items in the store include just Flooz purchases with a VIP kickback. VIP usually offers more turns in battles and other great in-game perks!
For any Idle RPG that I like, a purchase is usually made just to find out what the game has to offer. One really doesn’t need to be made however, there’s plenty of free items and heroes in game that will help you advance.
The Verdict
Overall, this is a casual app that I can get with! It’s easy to bypass Idle RPGs because they are usually heavily advertised, but Crush ’em All delivers to anyone with casual RPG needs!
There’s a crazy amount of tokens and items in this game, and still more I haven’t unlocked! This maybe a turn off as anyone who’s played any type of grindy games. On the other hand, it could lead to some really cool fights once the grind is complete!
If you are a fan of Idle RPGs or would like to share other ones that could be awesome to try, drop a comment below and we will have a casual chat and friend up in game!
Happy Gaming, and as always, keep it casual!
