Creative Destruction is a Battle Royale game which has been labeled better than Fortnite, let’s see if the claims are true…

The gameplay is very similar to Fortnite!

When you first enter the game, you’re added to a lobby where you wait for all of the players to join. During this time, you can pick up guns to shoot your opponents with, however, this won’t affect their health and is just a bit of fun for while you’re waiting.

Like other Battle Royale games, you’re then put in some kind of flying device and it’s your decision when you want to jump out. It’s smart to jump out to a place where there are buildings, but not too many. This way, you won’t bump into anyone while you’re finding your weapons but you should be in a place with enough buildings to find weapons.

Another similarity to Fortnite is that there are building tools so if someone is shooting at you, or even multiple people, you can build a fort around you. They can be knocked down pretty easily so make sure you’re on the ball with it.

The gameplay is really fun and engaging and I actually prefer it to Fortnite even though it took a while to figure out. The controls can be a little dodgy at times but we’ll get to it…

Again, the graphics are very similar to Fortnite. They’re cartoon-like, colorful, and fun!

I was actually surprised about how similar Creative Destruction’s graphics are to Fortnite’s. I just want to know how this is legal – but if you play Fortnite, you will absolutely understand where I’m coming from.

The graphics are cartoon-like, colorful and bright. They’re definitely great for an app game, but as I said, they’re a carbon copy of Fortnite.

Music & Sounds

Like the vast majority of Battle Royale games, footsteps play a big part in figuring out where someone is. You will be able to tell if someone’s creeping up behind you because the footsteps will get louder. Apart from footsteps, there is no music in the actual gameplay, only in the beginning where they showcase all the players and their special moves.

There are many controls to get the hang of – it takes a lot of practice!

As for the controls, they’re not exactly explained. At the beginning of the game, you’re given a tutorial but the only controls you’re told how to use is the shoot button and the joystick which doesn’t really help. At the bottom of the screen, there is a row of games, and to use them all you have to do is click on it. Slightly to the right, you have the ammo refill button, if you collect enough ammo from the buildings, you can refill whenever you please. On top of that, there are building buttons that I always accidentally click on – what they do is allow you to build a fort in order to protect yourself if someone is shooting at you.

The Power of in-app Purchases

Purchase from badass guns to cool outfits!

In the store, there is a huge amount of things you can purchase. From having more effective guns to just looking cooler, you can find everything at the mall. It is split into 9 sections: recommended, pack, look, handheld, firearm, flight, action, graffiti, room card. You can also purchase diamonds from:

  • 60 diamonds for £0.99
  • 180 diamonds for £2.99
  • 300 diamonds for £4.99
  • 680 diamonds for £9.99
  • 1280 diamonds for £19.99
  • 1980 diamonds for £28.99
  • 3280 diamonds for £48.99
  • 6480 diamonds for £99.99

Gold is also an option, however, you can only earn gold through battles and events.

As I said, there is a heck of a lot to purchase and a great way to flex on other players is to make a purchase. If you don’t, its easy to tell that you’re a noob and you won’t have the same street cred as the rest of the players.

The Verdict

What did you think of Creative Destruction?

Creative Destruction is a great Battle Royale game to play, especially if your phone is an old model and you can’t access Fortnite. However, I do find it a little bit unsettling how close this game is to Fortnite, and I feel like this must breach some copyright laws.

I did enjoy the fact you didn’t have a team, because sometimes you’re put with some idiots that get you killed. So it was nice to play alone and not have to deal with anyone shouting down the mic.

If you decide to download Creative Destruction, let us know what you thought and if you agree or disagree with any of the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
