Endless runner games are that type of genre where no matter what the storyline is, you’re going to become obsessed. That’s exactly what happened with me and Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!
The aim is to run through a range of obstacles before finally reaching the boss at the end. Some bosses are really easy to defeat and only need one hit, whereas some take a while to end.
The gameplay was a lot of fun but I don’t think you can go wrong with endless runners.
The graphics remind me a lot of Subway Surfers with a more magical twist, which I liked. In the beginning, Crash looks like how we all know and love him but you can unlock special skins that’ll help you along the way. My personal favorite is the skunk skin.
The music is very generic, however, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Endless runner games are generic anyway, with most of them having the same goal. The audio doesn’t need to be anything special in my opinion!
The controls are the same as any other endless runner game. Crash will run by himself but you’ll need to swipe up to jump, swipe down to duck, swipe left and right to move, and tap to crash open boxes. There will also be a lot of obstacles you’ll need to avoid so watch out for them.
In the Vending Machine (store), you can purchase an array of skins, subscription offers, and Purple Crystals. These will all aid in making you better at the game, however, you don’t need them.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will definitely be staying on my phone for some time. It’s the perfect game for absolutely any casual gamer out there, especially those who want to game more but don’t have the time. Each run is short and fairly easy to complete!
