Gameplay

Serve customers on time!

On The Casual App Gamer, we love cooking games. The time management aspect of them keeps us on our toes while unlocking new restaurants as we go on.

This is why we decided to review Cooking World Yummy Food.

In the gameplay, you own a bakery and have to serve customers within the time limit. Starting off easy with brownies and coffees, over time you get the chance to develop them and open new restaurants.

I liked the gameplay as it was slightly different from other cooking games I’ve played. With these kinds of games, you usually start off manning a burger kitchen or breakfast bar so it was nice to find a game with slightly sweeter food choices!

Graphics

The graphics could’ve been better!

The graphics were nothing special and no different from other games in the same genre. The characters looked quite posh (apart from the children), giving me the impression that it’s a posh bakery rather than a standard one.

Music & Sounds

Following on with the posh theme, the game played classical music during the levels which fit in really well. However, the characters speaking every time they arrived really put me off, especially as the audio sounded low quality. The game would’ve been completely fine without the customers speaking…

Controls

Tap to control!

When a customer arrived, all I had to do was tap on the batter, the oven, the plate, and then the item to give it to them. After that, they paid and the next customer arrived. The controls were easy to use, however, keep an eye on the items you’re baking as the customers become more demanding as the game goes on.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

I liked playing Cooking World Yummy Food quite a lot, but not enough to rate it any higher than a 3/5. This is down to the fact it’s not vastly different from other cooking games I’ve played, however, if you’re a newbie you might like this one.

If you decide to download Cooking World Yummy Food, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with any of the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
