This game is not what you would expect. This is not your generic cleaning game. Each different chore will test your skills. Find the right matching sock, time your pour correctly to get the cereal in the bowl. So many unique chores testing your abilities to get the job done right!
Let’s show Mom how good you are at doing all the house chores! She will be so proud!”

Gameplay
If I’m completely honest with you, I was a little frazzled when I downloaded this game. I didn’t like the look of it and I wanted to hate it but honestly… I liked it.
You play as a young boy who wants to decorate his boring room but his Mom says that he has to do chores to earn money. Go through a series of mini-games where you complete an array of chores. They mostly consist of cleaning things but can also include pairing up socks and spray painting skateboards.
With the coins you earn from doing the chores, you can purchase items for your room.
Graphics
As you can see, the graphics aren’t much to look at. The only characters are the young boy and his Mom, and you can only ever see the back of the Mom. It kind of reminds me of an early 2000s game – the graphics just aren’t good and you can tell that there wasn’t a big budget in place.
Music & Sounds
I have mixed feelings about the sounds. During the actual gameplay, you can hear the sound of the action you’re playing which is pretty relaxing. However, the sound of the explosion at the end of the level and the “Yipee” the boy makes is annoying. Luckily, this isn’t frequent so it’s not a huge deal. Overall, the sounds are satisfying.
Controls
The controls depend on the level but generally, it’s all about dragging a cleaning product over an item. They’re easy too but on some levels, they can be a little trickier than others.
The Power of in-app Purchases
I searched high and low for some kind of in-app purchase and I couldn’t find one. I thought Chores! would at least have the removal of ads, but there isn’t anything.
This game is completely free to use but you have to deal with the ridiculous amount of ads. Seriously, there’s one after every mini-game which makes the game hard to play.
The Verdict
Chores! has the potential to be a fun time-killer game, but the ads are so frequent I just felt like I was waiting around all the time. The graphics could also do with an upgrade along with some type of in-app purchase – it would be nice to remove ads.
If you decide to download Chores!, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
