Survive to win!

So we have PUBG Mobile and Fortnite as the most well-known Battle Royale games and since I reviewed PUBG Mobile, I’ve been playing it every day so I like to think I know my stuff now. Battle Destruction is a Battle Royale game, and that’s it. In terms of gameplay, the idea of it is the same as PUBG Mobile but it really doesn’t live up to the same quality in terms of everything.

To start off with you’re put into a home screen with a character that you can’t actually change unless you pay and then once you click play you’re put into the lobby where you have to wait for 20 seconds. And like other Battle Royale games, you get to choose where you go on the map. In this case, you’re jumping out of a very weird looking clown hot air balloon. As you land, it’s your job to find guns, ammo and other weapons you might need to win the game.

I came in contact with another player almost straight away and they managed to kill me but I found it strange how they weren’t shooting me properly. I thought, okay maybe they’re new to the game like me and haven’t quite got used to the controls yet but I was wrong – they’re bots. In the second game, I decided to find out if my theory about them was true and I found a few players but they kept running away from me even though I was shooting at them. And if you have ever played Fortnite or PUBG, you know that players don’t hesitate to shoot back at you – they’re in it to win it. Eventually, I just stood still and waited for someone to kill me because I was so bored.

The graphics are terrible!

The graphics are definitely questionable – it makes the game look like it was made in the early 2000s, actually worse. Everything is in blocks and appears as you run so it looks like a blank map from far away. Another thing I noticed is that everything was Christmas themed – which is weird considering it’s currently Spring. It doesn’t look like the developer’s update Battle Destruction very often.

Music & Sounds

There is no music in this game but there are a number of sound effects that are ridiculously annoying. The footsteps are too loud and irritating in general and the shooting sounds go straight through me. The sounds are just a little bit too intense for my liking and don’t make the game enjoyable.

The controls are confusing!

The controls are similar to PUBG but not at the same time – hear me out. There is a joystick type button that you drag forward to run, but there’s no auto-sprint so it’s ridiculously hard to run and shoot at the same time. Another reason why it’s hard to shoot is that the shoot button is on the other side of the screen and it’s really fiddly to manage with. On top of this, some of the buttons aren’t even there and are just for show.

Along with the some of the buttons being fake, you have to tap on the guns to pick them up and I didn’t realize this as I am so used to auto-pickup on PUBG Mobile. So at first, I was just punching the air wondering why I wasn’t shooting back.

I really didn’t enjoy the controls and I feel like they were laid out all wrong.

The Power of in-app Purchases

Purchase diamonds and gold!

You can purchase gold or diamonds from the store and the prices are:

  • 2500 diamonds for $4.99
  • 8000 diamonds for $9.99
  • 20000 diamonds for $19.99
  • 60000 diamonds for $49.99
  • 100 gold for free when you watch an ad
  • 1000 gold for 250 diamonds
  • 4000 gold for 750 diamonds
  • 10000 gold for 1500 diamonds

You can’t buy much with the diamonds and gold but what I did notice that an ad pops up pretty much every time you press something new which is annoying. They also appear while you play the game which is another reason why I don’t believe this is an online game.

The Verdict

What did you think of Battle Destruction?

The verdict? I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone. If you love Battle Royale games as I do, don’t waste your time on Battle Destruction and just continue with Fortnite and PUBG Mobile. It’s quite obvious to me that this game was purely made for cash and it’s not even updated regularly. Not to mention, it’s only rated 2.3 stars out of 5 on the app store. I think that speaks for itself.

If you decide to download Battle Destruction, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with any of the things we said. Happy gaming!
