KartRider Rush+ proved to be very popular amongst us at The Casual App Gamer. So naturally, we thought it would be a good idea to put together a beginner’s guide for those who have recently downloaded the game!
The Basics
KartRider Rush+ is based on drifting and racing, just like the name suggests. Accelerating is done automatically, however, everything else like turning, drifting, and other moves are all on you. So it’s important to learn some tips and tricks in order to have the best gaming session possible.
Master Drifting Before Doing Anything Else
To drift correctly, you’ll need to hit the drift button simultaneously with the left or right buttons before carefully tapping on the opposite directional button to stabilize yourself. This can be pretty tricky to accomplish, and if we’re honest, we struggled at first. However, this is a crucial part of the gameplay so it needs to be learned.
You’ll remain in the rookie division until you take your first License Test but you needed to make sure you know how to drift correctly first. It’ll help you out in the long run as you don’t have much of a chance of winning if you don’t know how to drift – there are just far too many twists and turns around. Practicing drifting includes trying not to crash into the sides as this counts as a negative stat. Doing this can prevent you from hitting certain goals, not to mention, it’ll slow you down. Just try not to do it!
Use the Boost Button as much as you can
Apart from drifting, the key to winning every type of KartRider Rush+ game is to use the boost button at every opportunity you can. There’s a turbo booster at the beginning of the race and you can also earn a blue flame nitro boost by correctly drifting and filling the yellow meter. However, this won’t work if you haven’t mastered drifting. Drift then boost – that’s the rule.
Join a club and make friends
In KartRider Rush+, you can join a club and make friends so you can earn even more rewards. After unlocking the social tab, make sure you add people and enter the Mentorship program when you can.
With the social system, you can win rewards for your team and your team can win rewards for you. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!
Compete in Item Races for a Mario Kart Vibe
Although Speed Races are the star of the show on KartRider Rush+, it’s definitely recommended that you give Item Races a try. These races are similar to Mario Kart in the sense that they have shortcuts where you can divert from the recommended course, and send and avoid attacks. It’ll keep you on your toes for sure but it’ll show you another side of the game!
Don’t Neglect Story Mode if you want to Level Up
Leveling up unlocks amazing features that’ll help you with your online battles, but neglecting story mode will stop you from doing this. Take time to get to know the story and what KartRider Rush+ is all about!
