8 Mobile Games You Shouldn’t Bother Downloading

We’ve reviewed a huge number of games since launching The Casual App Gamer, but there are so many we just couldn’t get into. Here’s a list of games we just don’t think are worth downloading.

*Disclaimer: we understand that each person is different when it comes to what type of games they enjoy. However, this is just our list of games we personally didn’t enjoy, but feel free to try them out for yourself and see if they’re your thing.*

RacerKing

Fight your opponents to be the last survivor in the arena with RacerKing! However, don’t fall off the platform.” – Small Beautiful

RacerKing is far too simple for a game to play long term. It’s nice when games have storylines, of course, they don’t have to, but RacerKing has no substance to it. On top of this, the ads are so frequent that it just messed with the gameplay and made it impossible to play.

Drive Thru 3D

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=drive.thru.drivethru3d&hl=en

Company: Rollic Games

Genre: Cooking Games

“Craving for fast food? Join Drive Thru 3D, we’re open! Take the order, prepare the most delicious fast food in town and serve it to the customer. But don’t get their order wrong!”

Drive Thru 3D has far too many flaws that are impossible to look past. Not only is there no music and sounds, no in-app purchases, too many ads, bad graphics but the gameplay is also repetitive and bored me to death. All the factors that are missing are so important for making an amazing casual app game, so we couldn’t get on with this one.

Morgz Ultimate Challenge

“THIS IS MORGZ ULTIMATE CHALLENGE! Compete in Morgz’ all-time favorite challenges, like “Food or Not Food” and “Floor is Lava”! Can you beat Morgz Mum, Tamzin, Bald Martin, or Morgz himself!?”

Unfortunately, it’s expected for a YouTuber to use a mobile game to make a few quick bucks. There was so much hype around it on social media, but the gameplay and graphics are so disappointing. It makes sense as to why it’s popular amongst children, who are the main viewers of Morgz’s fanbase, but it just isn’t my thing.

Power Painter

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=chimp.works.td4&hl=en_GB

Company: ChimpWorks

Genre: Tower Defense Games

Rating: 3/5

“Shoot, Merge, and Paint! Defend your towers! ChimpWorks presents an epic monster merge painting battle – Power Painter They say good strategy wins wars – it’s the same in Power Paint! Indulge your gaming senses in countless levels of super-fun merge and strategy tower defense challenges.”

This might have to do with the fact I’m not a huge fan of tower defense games in general, but Power Painter isn’t fun to play to me. Although the features included in the game aren’t too bad, I couldn’t get into it and personally found the premium subscription to be way too expensive.

Dawn of Zombies: The Survival

iOS Link: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/dawn-of-zombies-the-survival/id1465954247

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.survival.last&hl=en_GB

Company: Royal Ark

Genre: Action

Rated: 12+

Rating: 2/5

“Dawn of Zombies is an online simulator of survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Here, those who lived through Conflagration were left to survive against hunger, aberrations, fanatical mutants and zombies, diseases, and radiation. And, of course, other survivors.”

Although Dawn of Zombies isn’t the worst survival game I’ve ever played, there’s a lot of room for improvement. The gameplay doesn’t have a lot of structure to it along with the in-app purchases feeling pointless and not worth it. However, it does have nice looking graphics.

Money Buster

iOS Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/money-buster/id1515884940

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cg.moneybuster

Company: Alictus

Genre: Casual

“Detect fake money through a magnifying glass and various tools with Money Buster. Shred fake money! Collect real money!”

It was no surprise to me that this game was bad – I could tell that just from the screenshots on the app store. I found it hard to play since the gameplay changed every 5 seconds, however, I can see why someone might like this. I also couldn’t stand the number of ads that appeared – it’s just not worth it in my opinion.

Repair Master 3D

iOS Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1508589901

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quok.repairMaster3d

Company: Rollic Games

Genre: Puzzle

Rated: 4+

Rating: 2/5

“Well, unfortunately, electronics do break easily. But this is where you come in with Repair Master 3D!

Open up the electronics, switch the damaged parts, clean up the dust, apply some thermal paste, reassemble, and voila, like brand new!

Level up your expertise and unlock new devices to repair, however, beware for the mistakes.”

Repair Master is something I had never seen on the app store before, however, the execution of it isn’t good. The graphics need a massive upgrade along with offering in-app purchases – which is weird they didn’t. But it would be a good game for anyone who’s interested in repairs.

Battle Destruction

iOS Link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battle-destruction/id1447735057?mt=8

Android Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.battle.christ.royale&hl=en

Company: PENGPENG QUIO

Genre: Battle Royale

“Play on mobile and build your own way to victory! Huge map to explore, fast-paced non-stop action, simple controls, fantasy environment! Loot rare and legendary stuff, shoot yo’ enemies, gather resources, and survive!”

If you’re a big fan of Battle Royale games, Battle Destruction would disgust you, but someone new to it might not have a problem. This game is quite obviously only made in an effort to cash grab with little to no thought put into the gameplay.

We don’t personally enjoy playing these games, however, you might so let us know what you think of them! We’d love to hear your thoughts.
