Stack Ball

Stack Ball

Stack Ball is a 3d arcade game where players smash, bump and bounce through revolving helix platforms to reach the end.

Sound easy? You wish!!

Your ball smashes like a brick through colorful platforms that block its descent, but if you hit a black one, it’s all over! Your ball shatters to pieces and you have to start your fall all over again.

But even black platforms are no match for a fireball falling at full speed! Choose your strategy: speed up like a madman or stop and wait for your next chance to roll and jump. Other ball games wish they were this fun!

Hey Casual Gamers!

Sometimes the daily chores of life become extremely boring.  Thankfully, we have casual apps that do what they can to surge a little fun back in the day.

Stack balls offers endless fun by smashing a ball through bricks!  Is it an ideal time waster, or just a waste of time?  Let’s it it out on a slim version of a casual review!

Gameplay

Stay away from the black or it’s game over!

There’s no spectacular title or download to sit through here!  Just a bounce ball urging you to touch it!

Once the ball is touch, it breaks all down the circles holding it from it’s goal of touching the bottom.

Take heed on touching the black portion of the circles, or it’s game over.

Can’t get any simpler than that.  Each stage seems to be different than the rest!

Graphics

Control the drop or it’s lights out!

Simple graphics make games like this a perfect mind eraser to remove yourself from boring meetings or just really boring life situations.

It’s not that the person blabbing in your face is boring, it’s just the situation they put you in!

Anyhow, it’s satisfying enough to do it mindlessly for at least a few minutes…or until you tire of commercials.

Music

destruction combos set the ball on fire!

There’s no real music to comment about, not including commercials.  There’s a few noises when destorying circles, but not even worth listening to.

Just best to find your best casual playlist and zone off…at least until the next train comes.

Controls

A mad dash down levels you up!

No much going on with controls here.  Hold down on your phone or tablet to break the circle with the ball.  release to stop.

If the controls were any more complicated than that I’d have to question myself and reality.

Still, simplicity does make for an enjoyable time.

The Power of in-app Purchases

Shapes and colors change each level

If you are enjoying Stack Ball, please consider making the only purchase on the casual app.  for 2.99 you can get rid of the annoying ads that litter the game endlessly.

I mean it’s not too bad if you are just looking to blow some free time to look at some ads.  If you want to test limits however, the ads will do their best to sap endurance from your grind.

If you’ve made it past 25 without disabling the ads, I salute your valor and tenacity!

The Verdict

Combo breaks get you to the goal faster!

Overall, this wasn’t a bad game, but is this truthfully a game?  I suppose in the sense it is, but it feels more like mindlessly doing something.  In our day in age, that’s not really a bad thing.

We are blessed to live in a time that has us waiting for everything, and at the same time having everything.

I’m not saying Stack Ball will revolutionize the world or anything, but a good zone out never hurt a healthy brain!
