Hey Casual Gamers!
Have you ever imagined yourself on an never ending staircase that leads to nowhere? If that sounds like the strange reoccurring dream I have about stairs then have we got an interesting casual app for you!
Infinite Stairs offers a pathway into nothingness with an endless amount of stairs that randomly change direction! What seems like a rather simple task turns into a casual way to flex your dexterity and unlock what seems to be endless content.
Is this worth your casual time? Lace up your good shoes and meet me at the top of this casual review!
Gameplay

Stairs. Yup, you came to this website looking for your next casual obsession on your phone or tablet, and we are talking about stairs!
Thankfully digital stairs only hurt your thumbs. With two buttons and a upbeat 8bit tune, players must climb stairs by correctly pushing two buttons at the right time. One to go up, and one to turn. Should the wrong button be pressed, it’s a long fall into oblivion. Well, until you try again.
Everything about this casual app has me all in. It’s not often something as simple as casually walking up a staircase could give me the gamer hit I was looking for.
Graphics

I couldn’t imagine Infinite Stairs in any other way than 8-bit. As players progress, more colorful characters are unlocked. While most of the actual game is pretty static, characters have their own way to climb and fall.
Need even more incentive to love the graphics? Pets can be unlocked after progressing to give you that little sidekick to accompanying players up the flight of endless digital exercise.
A nice addition to Infinite Stairs is the various modes of play that unlock while playing. From PVP to events, there’s never a wrong way to attack this casual app!
Music & Sounds

There’s not really much to brag about when it comes to the music of Infinite Stairs, but we didn’t come here for music. We came here for stairs!
Seriously, this casual app can be played without sound and still be very enjoyable. The soundtrack does provide some catchy tunes to help keep the rhythm going, but outside of that, there’s not much to be missed.
Characters have their own opening sound when selected, but again it’s not really making or breaking the overall gameplay.
Controls

Well, talking about two buttons seems a bit awesome, because going up and turning is all that’s needed in Infinite Stairs.
In a stroke a gamer genius, menus and additional modes unlock over time. So while the pictures in this app review look a bit crowded, it took countless attempts to unlock modes at a time.
One thing to be mindful is that there is a time limit! While taking in some of the fresh digital air and scenery, it’s very possible to time out and end a run prematurely. This casual app demands your best, and rewards it in kind.
The Power of in-app Purchases

So lets talk about something that’s just not right for me! Infinite Stairs has a fairly decent amount of sales and bundles. Not to mention there’s a great deal of loot to be gained from multiple venues.
My gripe comes in the shape of purchases that give ad removal limits.
That’s right, for a purchase you can remove 50 ads from gameplay. In may sound great, but in reality anyone who picks up this casual app and wants to push out a casual session will find themselves taking ads to the face again after a while.
Maybe I’m overreacting, but as an avid casual gamer, I can go through 50 ads in a little under a week!
The Verdict

In case it’s not obvious, Infinite Stairs is an automatic keeper! There’s too much to like about this casual app to even try to weigh the cons of not already installing this on your phone or tablet.
I don’t go nuts over too many games, well of course Tears of the Kingdom is in my dreams now, but this is a satisfying alternative when the batteries are charging.
Don’t miss out on this highly addictive and great example of a solid casual app game!
