Gameplay

Merge items together to make money!

Games like DesignVille always catch my eye because I like to have the small hope that I’m not going to be greeted by a match-3 game when I download the app! To my surprise, this isn’t a match-3 game, however, it is a merge game that is just as overused in the app store.

Two old school friends have decided to create a design studio but it’s in pieces (shocker) so it’s your job to merge items together to sell and with the money you can fix up the design studio!

I’m not huge on the merging part of the game, however, I loved being able to customize the design studio and choose from 3 different styles when it came to furniture.

Graphics

The graphics are cute!

The graphics are very cute and cartoony. It fits in well with the family-friendly vibe the developers are clearly going for. This is a game that targets every single demographic you can think of – which can be seen as a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it. For me, I think it’s great for newbie gamers but not so great for people looking for a specific genre!

Music & Sounds

The audio is a little irritating, especially with the noises every time you merge an item together. I’d suggest playing this game on mute with your own music in the background as it doesn’t make a difference to the gameplay.

Controls

Drag to control!

To merge two items together, drag them together and you’ll get a new item. It really is as simple as that! This game doesn’t require much brainpower and can be done without a whole lot of concentration.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

DesignVille isn’t a bad game but there was nothing about it that stood out for me. When I try new games, I’m always looking for something unique that’ll stand out from other games on the app store. Unfortunately, this didn’t quite do it for me!

If you decide to download DesignVille, let us know what you think and if you agree or disagree with any of the things we said. Happy gaming and stay casual!
