Gameplay
Straight off the bat, Crust Crusaders gave me Space Invaders vibes with a bit of a twist – you’re a slice of pizza! I think the gameplay is genius and adds a modern vibe to the retro game!
Graphics
Keeping with the retro theme, the graphics are in an 8-bit design and again, I love it. Graphics don’t always have to be super detailed to make a game good and in this instance, it fits in well with the overall gameplay!
Music & Sounds
Crust Crusader’s audio is amazing and again, fits in perfectly with the retro theme Sebastian Barrotta was going for!
Controls
The controls are very easy to remember. All you need to do is drag your finger around to control the slice of pizza and it’ll shoot automatically. No matter where you go on the screen, the slice will point at enemies without any effort from you!
The Power of in-app Purchases
This game is completely free which would be a good thing if it didn’t have ads. There needs to be at least an in-app purchase to remove ads so it doesn’t become annoying for players!
The Verdict
This is one of those games you can’t help but constantly go back to! Not only is it a lot of fun to play but the levels are nice and short so there’s no chance of getting bored and deleting the app!
The only problem is the lack of in-app purchases. In-app purchases can sometimes be essential in order to give players the best possible game experience. I think, in this case, the option to remove ads would be helpful.
