Gameplay

Do match-3 mini-games to complete tasks!

Charlotte’s Table was not what I expected it to be, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what to call this genre (Puzzle?) but the gameplay consists of playing match-3 games in order to complete tasks. The tasks ranged from garnishing food to decorating tables – you get to pick from three options depending on your taste.

Graphics

The graphics gave me Disney vibes!

The graphics were cute, but nothing out of the ordinary. It feels like match-3 puzzle games always have the same kind of graphics no matter what. However, what I will say is that Charlotte’s Table’s graphics gave me slight Disney vibes.

Music & Sounds

The audio wasn’t very impressive to me – it was just that typical instrumental music you usually get in match-3 games. It sounded nice but it didn’t add anything to the gameplay.

I also didn’t like how the characters had no voices and I had to read everything they said. Boringggggg.

Controls

Tap and drag to control!

During the task part of the game, all I had to do was press on the item I thought would be the most suited. For example, I chose the rosemary herb for the grilled filet mignon. The match-3 mini-games just consisted of dragging the icons to make 3 or more of the same color in a row. The controls were easy to use and remember.

The Verdict

What did you think?!

Although Charlotte’s Table wasn’t what I expected, I liked the gameplay and felt like it was the perfect game to play when winding down in the evening. However, it didn’t have anything that stood out against other match-3 games and for that reason, I won’t be keeping it on my phone.
